BusBus Ministry

Ministry Head:  Chris Miletich

Start Date: 2002

Ministry Vision Verse:  “And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”  -Luke 14:23

Mission (Goal):  We are fulfilling the great commission by reaching lost families, primarily through their children, in our community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Every Saturday we visit each rider and their family, and then pick them up Sunday afternoon for our junior church services.  We encourage them to get saved, baptized, and then bring their families to our main services, where they also can be saved through the preaching and teaching of the Word of God.

Impact Since Start:  Through perseverance and hard work, we have had the privilege to see many souls saved and lives changed through this ministry.  Fruitfulness is evidenced with several families now attending church regularly with their children.  In addition, this ministry has afforded many of our own church kids the opportunity to serve and train them to serve into their adulthood.

Difficulties To Deal With:  This ministry has several heart-wrenching difficulties associated with it.  Unsupportive parents are a tremendous hindrance to the spiritual well being of their children.  The chokehold of the world and all the ungodly influences on the lives of our youth tear down what we are trying to build up.  The need for labourers is always a trying thing to deal with.  Many times the workers are thrust into the middle of situations completely foreign to our line of thinking; this is, many times, very discouraging.

Special Notes (Things To Pray About):  Much like other ministries, the prayer request is that we would have God’s power and humble hearts as we deal with these kids and their situations.  Pray that God would break down the stony hearts of both the lost and the saved.  Also, pray that workers would be faithful and have a proper vision of people dying and going to heaven or hell.  Lastly, pray for more labourers.  The need is great and the times is short.  “Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.” -John 4:35
