Ministry Vision Verse: “Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.” -Acts 13:1-3
Mission (Goal): The aim of this local church mission agency is to assist and support those missionaries, called out of our church, in any and every way possible. One of the greatest helps to the missionary is the financial clearing house function of the agency. In addition to the assistance, we want to be instrumental in keeping our missionaries on the field of God’s calling. Another aspect of this agency is related closely to the Bible College, in that, we are training individuals in whose heart the Holy Spirit is working and leading into world-wide missions. Missionaries will be aided in deputation preparations, such as presentations, meeting scheduling, etc. They will also be helped in obtaining visa and governmental paperwork required to gain entrance into their given country of calling. An encouraging aspect of the agency will be in the development, scheduling, and facilitating of mission trips to aid and encourage our missionaries. One final facet is to maintain a high standard of accountability for the missionary to the local church.
Impact Since Start: Thus far, our missionaries have been assisted in prayer letter (preparation, printing, and mailing), prayer card design and printing, presentation video, and church packet development. Postal costs have been greatly reduced through the mailing of prayer letters from stateside versus foreign locations. In addition, the pressures of financial processing have been greatly eased through the clearing house portion of the agency.
Special Notes (Things To Pray About): Pray for the leadership as we seek to fulfill the great commission and help missionaries be able to reach the world for the Lord Jesus Christ.
