Ministry Vision Verse: “Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.” -Psalm 60:12
Mission (Goal): There are five main goals to this ministry. First of all, we want this to be a thank you to all Vietnam Veterans for their service during a time in which it was not popular to serve. Secondly, to thank all veterans who have served in the United States armed forces. Thirdly, this is to be a memorial for all those who died September 11, 2001. Next, it is to be a memorial to all those that have given their lives since September 11, 2001. Finally, but most importantly, this ministry strives to introduce people to the God of our nation.
Impact Since Start: The impact of this ministry is phenomenal! Since its beginning, nearly one-half million tracts have been handed out, many of which have been used in the saturation of Alaska. Literally, thousands of American’s have been encouraged to not give up on America, but rather, to fight for her and to stand for what is right. Not only have thousands of tracts been given out; but, many of those have heard the Gospel for the very first time. We now have a generation that does not know God and have only heard His name in a blasphemous way.
Difficulties To Deal With: One of the greatest difficulties is simply time management – finding time to get everything done. Perhaps the biggest obstacle to overcome is seeing people become so un-American and so un-Christian. As a boy, 50 years ago, the town drunks were more patriotic than most church goers of today! They had more respect for God, His Word, His churches, His preachers, and the things of God in general, than most American’s today.
Special Notes (Things To Pray About): Pray for God’s moving on the hearts of American’s. America is going down the tubes and most people would rather be spectators than to do something about it. God didn’t say to be a spectator; but, “…Occupy till I come.” (Luke 19:13) Pray for America – God save America! Pray for strength, health, and wisdom to do God’s will. Additionally, pray for the funds to keep the ministry going (tracts, gas, equipment, etc.). Pray for labourers to reach America with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We deceive ourselves by thinking we can let America go and our ministries will go on as normal! Pray for the August trip to Michigan and special veterans meeting; the Tennessee meetings; and, the Illinois meetings scheduled for this year. Pray much for the New York City, Ground Zero, trip scheduled for September of 2008 – much planning, purchasing, and people are required for this mega-trip: one million tracts ($12,000), a multitude of labourers, and the logistics of setting up at Ground Zero.
